Your mandal's hishob,
on one phone

Record a vargani at the door and the donor has their receipt on WhatsApp before you reach the next house. Every entry is visible to the whole committee, the moment it is made.

  • No card, no setup fee, nothing to install
  • Marathi, Hindi and English — each member picks their own
  • Works when the signal does not
The Vargani app on a phone showing a mandal's balance and recent entries, beside a printed Marathi donation receipt.

Built for how a mandal actually collects

Not a ledger app with festival words pasted on. Every screen assumes a volunteer standing at someone's door, holding a phone in one hand, on a patchy connection, with a queue behind them.

Two taps to a receipt

Amount, name, slide to save. The donor's receipt is generated and sent before you have put the phone away.

Nobody has to trust anybody

Every entry carries who recorded it and a receipt number from their own book. Two collectors can never hand out the same number.

The books survive the committee

Phones get lost and treasurers change every year. The hishob does not live on anyone's device.

Everything a mandal actually needs

And deliberately nothing else.

Vargani and expenses in one book

Income and spending, by head, by utsav, by financial year — with the balance always in front of you.

Receipts on WhatsApp

A proper printed-looking pavati, in Marathi, with your mandal's name, logo and wording. Sent to the donor automatically, or shared by hand in one tap.

Your own receipt design

Top line, closing line, what the receipt is called, signatures — all yours. Each utsav keeps the wording it was created with.

A book number per member

Every collector issues receipts from their own numbered book, so two people at opposite ends of the street can never clash.

Roles that match the committee

A volunteer collects and sees only their own entries. A treasurer handles all the money. An admin manages members. Nobody sees more than their job needs.

Reports the committee can read out

Totals by head, by collector, by payment mode, for any period — and a CSV export when the auditor asks.

Pending vargani

Write the receipt at the door and mark it received when the money actually arrives. Until then it stays out of your balance.

Goods, recorded properly

Sugar, flowers, a sound system — recorded and receipted, never counted as cash.

One utsav at a time

Ganeshotsav, Navratra, Shiv Jayanti, Gudi Padwa. Pick the one that is running and every member's entries land in the right book.

Works offline

Record at the door with no signal. Everything syncs the moment you are back on the network.

Three languages

Each member reads the app in Marathi, Hindi or English. The receipt language is separate — run the app in English and still send Marathi receipts.

The year closes cleanly

On 31 March the books close and the new year starts from zero. Nothing is deleted, and every past year stays readable.

Running in about ten minutes

No training, no setup call, no spreadsheet to import.

Questions committees ask

If yours is not here, message us — someone will actually reply.

Is our hishob safe here?+

Entries live in your mandal's own space and are readable only by members an admin has approved. Nobody from another mandal can see them, and nothing reaches a donor except the receipt you send them.

What does it cost to start?+

Nothing. A mandal collecting up to ₹50,000 in a financial year pays nothing at all — no card, no trial that expires. You only move to a paid plan when you collect more than that.

What if we go over the limit?+

The entry that crosses the limit is always recorded in full — you should never have to under-record a real donation. New entries then wait until you take a plan that fits the rest of the year. Everything already recorded stays exactly as it is, and every report keeps working.

Do we need internet at the door?+

No. Record entries offline and they sync when you are back on the network. Sending a receipt on WhatsApp does need a connection — it goes out as soon as you have one.

Can two people collect at the same time?+

Yes, and that is the point. Every member gets their own numbered receipt book, so two collectors on the same street can never hand out the same receipt number.

What happens at the end of the year?+

On 31 March the books close. The new year starts from zero and the old one moves into your list — kept, not deleted. Nothing you have recorded is ever lost at a year end.

Can a volunteer see the whole mandal's money?+

Only if you let them. A volunteer sees just their own collection. A treasurer sees all the money but cannot manage members. You choose the role when you approve each person, and you can change it later.

What if the person who created the mandal leaves?+

Message us and we will hand the mandal over to another approved member. Nothing is lost while that is sorted out.
